The Brief: The marketing campaign of Baron's Strong Brew, a beer with a high alcoholic content, revolved around a medieval theme. Baron's wanted to hold a localized gift-with-purchase promotion to meet short-term sales target.
The Challenge: To develop and manufacture a collectible range of promotional items with a high perceived value. The promotional items produced would have to be in synergy with the brand's medieval theme.

The Process: Red Pod conceived the concept where the idea took the form of medieval weapons. We eventually produced Baron's crossbow lighters that had a broader appeal and had the potential to become collector's items. These lighters became very popular and stocks were depleted quickly because of the high perceived value. The clients were delighted because the promotion was an overwhelming success and sales target were surpassed even before the sales promotion period.
